Oh, I remember this film!! I remember watching it on television when I was just in grade-school. I would LOVE to see it again. I'm sure there was quite a bit of it that went over my head at that age. I'd love to see it again now that I would understand the underlying theme. And I remember the song was so popular at the time of the film's release. Thanks for the great memories!

You can see it again. The DVD is available in the US ... wrong region coding for me unfortunately. :-/

Listen lady, you've got first dibs on the JB crush but you can just leave Robert Stephens alone! He's been mine for years!;) The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes I saw at the cinema where I developed said crush and of course he is in Travels With My Aunt with Maggie Smith and the super Alec McCowan too.
Jean Brodie's school was very similar to mine too!

LOL! No crush on Robert Stephens - although I enjoyed his biography 'Knight Errant' immensely. Bought for 1p (plus p&p) via Amazon marketplace. :-)
