In the form of the extremely cerebral Book Meme from snokat. This is a fairly introspective exercise, but I must declare that on the strength of her recommendation plus reviews on Amazon I have already ordered The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger!

1. No wonder my books are stacked two rows deep on the shelves ...
It's a disaster, we own more than 3000 books I think, and even stacking them two rows on a shelf they overflow :/

9. Yep, but only force them to read this one book. I know several people who quite liked the first book and were disappointed already by the second.

27. Was the film worthy? I am tempted to watch it, maybe I should rather read the novel?

32 - Please share as soon as you feel like it. It was the absolute first "complete and unabridged" book I bought for myself. Which shows just how mich I like it :)

I would urge you to both read and see Brokeback Mountain if you can. As a book it is a very slim volume. I think it is also published in a general collection of short stories by the author. It took me a long time to decide to watch the film, but I'm very glad that I did. I'm watching it again this very minute - it's on television here tonight.

The Sherlock Holmes is progressing slowly, mainly due to my inability to support the large book upright to read whilst snuggled in bed as I prefer. Apart from the physical problems, it's very readable however! :-)
