M-my god, you did wonderfully on this.

...Would... would it be possible for a few of the trolls to have their Shadows depicted like this too? If not, it's fine, I just thought I'd ask...

holy shit holy shit holy shit, this is fantastic. you did such a good job of this, anon. all of the issues you highlighted are fucking perfect, and the descriptions of the ascended forms of their shadows are also perfect. ahhh, and you picked the perfect tarot card for each. this was a joy to read.

i think my favourite is rose's. the use of we/us made it so chilling to read, it was great. that's why it's great -- everything about it chills. certain lines in particular really pop in that regard, like If we had to murder whatever childhood and sense of fun we had, so be it. and How else would I know how much you blame everything around you for your faults, how you can't bear to be knocked from your pedestal, how scared you are of being hurt, how much you desperately want to be acknowledged and loved and how horribly self-centred and untrusting and vile and -

basically this is so good and i love everything about it <3

i think i've actually spent more time agonising over the tarots than the actual shadows themselves, hahaha.

clearly, these are important matters worth thinking about.

but thank you, i am happy you enjoyed. especially the ascended shadows, it was fun thinking of them!

qualities of jade's shadow, hmmm... probably a lot to do with loneliness, since she was raised by a dog on a remote island. something about how she's so out of touch with what others think and believe as a result? something about how she falls asleep all the time and has to rely on her dreamself, while the others all do their own thing on their own? i also imagine that she probably considers herself less intelligent than the others, and less likable.

idk i'm just saying things. i hope i'm not completely off track and that this helps you out a bit, anon!

nghsldkfj anon i looove this. stepford smilers are the best, so touching upon all that suppression is just fantastic. and i love how john notes that hers is the creepiest of all of them, it's a nice touch.
