They try to kill everything. The first two times weren't strictly my fault-humans needed saving. Though I did question my sanity at the time, risking my life for the same people who kidnapped me.

The third time was a deranged pixie trying to exact revenge by trapping us with a herd of the bloodthirsty things.

After we were sprayed with troll pheromones.

Human mythology makes them out to be murderous giant squids. Maybe they are actually like that in other worlds, I don't know. But in mine, they resemble islands and often become them, since they remain dormant for so long... until it comes time for them to shed their shell. They do so by igniting a layer of methane beneath the shell to literally blow it off.

It means a lot of difference. Ours aren't nearly as intelligent as yours; hunters, more than anything else. Yours are creepier.

A bio-bomb or blue rinse, as some call it, is an invention by my own People. I personally think it is an unecessary weapon to keep in our arsenal, especially since we are so against killing. But others feel it must be kept for extreme circumstances.

It destroys all living tissue while leaving the landscape or surrounding buildings untouched.
