Posting unwarned for rape is fine, but don't you dare suggest that a gangrape should have more than one line devoted to it or the victim should have a reaction to it. That's a deleting!

Since when is concrit by request only? We don't get to pick and choose our reviews! Would it have been allowed if beta-poster had just said "this fic is bad and you should feel bad"? At least the beta was trying to help.

If it had been presented as concrit and not beta work, yes, it would have been fine.

I'd be more than happy to continue this discussion in the guidelines post and save the prompt post from getting cluttered. I will be freezing this thread.

This is a hilarious parody, and I'm really impressed by your sense of the absurd - but was it really kind to mock the prompt like that? The prompter probably wanted a serious take on this idea.

Even so, I may never stop laughing at Steve going in to resign. Oh sweetie, it really isn't that kind of job. You can just leave!

The opening is weak and fairly unlikely. Steve needs a better impetus to get into prostitution than "some guy said he could make money". This could be helped by some strong supporting characters, or any at all really. There's really just no focus on anything substantial here. It's all glossed over, which makes it difficult to sink into the fit. Some of the logic seems wonky as well. Is Steve a hooker or an escort? Why does "soldiers make nice johns" translate to "I want to be a soldier"? And the whole line with Steve's dead mother is a serious turn-off, both jarring and fairly pointless ( ... )

As far as I can tell, that's all you really needed to say. It's really more of an outline than a story.

I'm sorry your beta work got beleeeted. I really liked it.
