A little bit of a scare

So yesterday afternoon as my hand and arm were numb and my shoulder ached, I could deal with it. But when my left leg went numb in part too, then I went to the walk-in clinic near my office. As a migraineur I am extremely sensitive to the thoughts of stroke. Plus I was working myself into an anxiety attack as well ( Read more... )

When my shoulder tendonitis flares up, I find that a wrapped, flexible ice-pack gives me more relief than heat does. The way the physiotherapist put it made sense -- if something is inflamed, you don't heat it up, you cool it down.

Take care!

That's good to know thanks.

I've always used both wet heat and dry heat when I have tendonitis. It works much better for me than ice.

The dr. said wet heat, *shrugs*. It's working thank goodness. (That and the codeine too lol).

Isn't the tendonitis inconvenient? I've had nerve conduction tests on both wrists too, because they were thinking it was carpal tunnel. Those tests suck big time.

::big hugs:: I hope you'll be feeling better soon. I have tendonitis in my left wrist, so I understand how you feel. Do you use any sort of brace or bandage on your arm? Sometimes it helps support it.

Hope you're able to enjoy your weekend! ::hugs again::
