He steps in looking uncharacteristically sheepish, holding a small wrapped bundle of flowers under one arm and a bag in one hand. His right arm is bandaged, but he appears unharmed aside from that.
His only greeting is an awkward smile.]]

[[Hang on. He sees that bandage, Fakir.]]
What happened to your arm?

[Unlike Fakir, Edgeworth had not been afraid to come in. In fact, other than a cursory knock, he didn't take the time to do anything other than walk in with his arms folded over his chest and a HMPH ready on the tip of his tongue.]

...Kenobi.
[Taking in the picture of the Jedi in the hospital bed with a narrowed, practised eye. Then, in a decisive tone, he adds]
You look like hell.

It's good to see you too.

Well, hello, Pelor. [[He smiles broadly, reaching out to let her sniff his fingers.]] Lovely to meet you. You have a very brave master, I hope you're aware.

You called.

And when the lion speaks, his eyes go wide. He knows that voice. He'd know it anywhere.]
...you came, [he says, a little lamely.]

Did you believe I would not?

[Still what? Trying to grasp the concept of what this sunlit being is, why it wears a familiar face and voice, why it is so much kinder to him than the cruel gods he's used to by now?
He bows his head a little, both reverent and apologetic.]
...it's a lesson one learns very early, that simply asking will not always make things happen.

No, Mindy, don't give away that she knows it's Obi-Wan, one of the coolest jedis ever.
"I uh," she kept the flowers close to her chest, "know I don't know you but..."
She held up the flowers, "I hope you're not allergic."
Reply
"Not as far as I know," he answered, and the cheer in his voice was honest. "Thank you so much--they're lovely."

"I'm Mindy," she said. She seemed a little tense, not because he was a bad guy-this was Obi-Wan, but because it must have seemed a little weird for a little girl to be visiting a stranger. But he looked like he needed company, so she gave a smile.
