She was taking out pots and pans. Once everything was out on the small breakfast table, she stood back, hands on her hips, and a worried look on her face.

She liked spending time with Mrs. Guthrie, maybe because her own mother had died and Mrs. Guthrie was just so... brimming with motherly-ness. It was nice. Not that she was Christian or believed in this holiday-- it was just nice to sit down with everyone and be together.
Amara handed Sam another plate. She was getting good at this washing business.
