Jean-Paul, on the other hand, was slightly annoyed. What was Warren doing? Killing people like that, what came over him? He heard the word 'Joker' thrown around but Jean-Paul's mind went straight to 'Death' and 'Apocalypse'. What was he doing?! If he wasn't trying to enjoy himself and Alistair, he would zoom back to the City and put Warren in his place.

And so, he was pacing the elevator, mumbling and talking to himself. As the doors opened, Jean-Paul stormed forward, hands in his pockets. Spotting Alistair, he nodded at the man.

"Come on. We're doing something." He didn't know what yet-he just needed to blow off steam.

"Hm?" It took a couple of swift strokes of his fingertips, and Alastair was able to snap his laptop shut. "All right. What kind of something?"

He got up and stowed the laptop in its bag, figuring on taking it along rather than running back up to the room to stow it. He'd taken a look at the posts JP responded to - he knew something serious was up. How the guy could stand to remain on vacation rather than rush back, he didn't know. "I suppose we could just take a walk and see what's in the neighborhood."

"I don't know," Jean-Paul admitted, frowning slightly. All he knew was that they were doing something. No matter what the something was, they were doing it. He needed to keep his mind off of that damn idiot Warren and back on whatever he was doing here.

"A walk sounds marvelous," Jean-Paul said, nodding at Alistair. A walk would be good indeed. For the past few seconds, Jean-Paul had been nervously tapping his foot, the speed getting faster and faster by the second.

"Come on." Alastair hooked him by the arm and dragged him away before that tapping foot could wear a hole in the lobby floor. "I was gonna say we could look for coffee, but I don't think you need any right now."

It was a decent afternoon, at least, and not too hot. Alastair smoothly let go of JP's arm as they passed through the sliding doors and hit the street, turning and sauntering up the sidewalk. He pulled his sunglasses out of his back pocket and slipped them on, ready to enjoy whatever diversion they could find for themselves. Food? Drinks? A park? It didn't matter. They were in another part of the world where super-heroing didn't play a part.
