Having lived in America for seven years and traveled Europe extensively, Alastair wasn't exactly impressed or confused, seeing the Canadian landscape for the first time. Severely underwhelmed was more like it, but he was still having a decent time. He was out of the City, and hadn't fled like a coward when faced with imminent danger, so he allowed himself to be happy where he was. The nightmares had faded away, at least the quiet pace of the tourist's Montreal helped him to forget about the crumbling war zone part of the City that had triggered flashbacks. He was just an average guy out here, who happened to be miraculously bilingual and could toss off insults in French as if he'd learned it from childhood.
Shopping, check. Eating, check. At the moment, Alastair was sitting around the hotel with his laptop, not really doing much of anything and staying out of trouble for Jean-Paul's sake. He knew his traveling pal was part of one of the superhero teams, so it wouldn't do well to get caught hacking a bank or anything. It was a better distraction than checking the comm, considering how things were going back in the city...
