Shin arrived shortly after Hiruma, his black hair slick both from his morning shower and sweat. Like Hiruma, he'd already warmed up; he couldn't fly, or move fast enough to get around the city for a lap, but he'd done his usual run, avoiding lampposts and traffic lights and other breakables like they were some kind of obstacle course. ... and he'd been mostly successful this morning. Mostly. Pay no attention to the minor traffic jam just up the road.

"Hiruma," he said, not entirely surprised. He'd known about Melee training Hiruma too, after all; he just hadn't realized that they'd been scheduled for the same time. Well, that suited him just fine. Teamwork was important.

There was a moment of still and quiet. The house was almost like a photograph, until up on the second floor, a window flew open. Out leaned the fucking sensei herself, eying the guests on her lawn before quirking a bit of a grin. Right on time. Not that she expected any less. Hiruma was like clockwork, and that Shin kid-- Mr. Serious-- seemed like the serious, punctual type ( ... )

Hiruma smiled an unsettling grin at Shin, then began in Japanese "Keehehehehe! Fancy seeing YOU here, bricks-for-brains. Guess sensei thought it would be a good idea to double up, huh?" Hiruma took a hair tie from his wrist and put his hair back into a spiky ponytail. It would have been fine for an hour or so, but eventually it would be falling all in his eyes and what a miserable experience that was. With that, he was dressed for training ( ... )

"Makes sense," said Shin, answering Hiruma's comment in Japanese. Since it seemed to be warming up into a nice day, he shrugged out of his windbreaker and left it in a neat little pile on the ground. Then he focused on Melee. Control exercises? That didn't sound terribly hard. He hadn't been sure what to expect out of this whole thing, really, but it didn't seem comparable to ... say, push-ups. Or benchpressing.

... even so. "Hiruma is right," he said in English, looking back in the direction of the garage. "Probably break before they get here."

"Hey, hey." Melee crouched down in front of Hiruma, giving him one of her dry looks before rapping him unkindly on the head. "Show some respect for your sensei, greenhorn! I'm not that much older than you."

Standing, she brushed her fatigues off, unperturbed by both of their predictions about the walkietalkie's and their inevitable doom. With an easy shrug of her shoulders, she lifted her hand to brush dark hair out of her eyes, answering plainly, "That's too bad for Hiruma then. Guess he's gonna get 150 extra push-ups."

"Bring 'em out here, Mr. Serious. If they're all broken, I've got another plan."
