[ jess rarely gets out of her costume now. it had been a habit she picked up back at home that she had become readjusted to -- being SHIELD does that. so she spends most of her time swinging around, trying to get used to doing small crime again when she gets the text message.

she hangs from a building, frowning under the mask.

gwen's texts never seem this urgent. she never asks for help.

jess fires out a quick reply: ]

on my way.

[ before hauling tuchas towards the MAC, where gwen's apartment is. it takes her about ten minutes worth of thwipping, but when she arrives, she raps sharply on the window before letting herself in and closing the window after her. ]

Gwen?

[ she's still curled up in the corner when jess comes in, but she slowly moves out when she hears her name. ]

Here. I'm- I'm over here.

[ there's no mistaking that face, even if she's trying to hide it behind her hair. ]

[ jess is pulling down her mask, moving tentatively towards gwen. she recognizes the creature -- the face -- but this experience is completely foreign to her.

(and probably a moment of deja vu for gwen, with how exact jess looks to peter when he first saw her ]
