WHO: BATFAM and friends! WHERE: The Bathouse WHEN: Thanksgiving Day WARNINGS: batangst, family drama, look who’s in this log SUMMARY: holy shit Dick invited everyone now what do FORMAT: words
[Cass arrives a little early, carrying a small cake with a sunken middle that looked barely edible, like most of her kitchen disasters. She places it in the kitchen, and then returns to the living room to see who else was around.]
[Nill hadn't ever had a real Thanksgiving celebration, and was excited to spend the day with Damian and his family and friends. She had been glad that her dress wasn't to ridiculous, not wanting to meet some of his friends for the first time looking silly. She had brought some ginger snap cookies, and made her way to the kitchen to set them down.]
[The blonde handed the platter over with a smile. She liked Dick; he was a good person for Damian to be around, she thought. As far as she knew, he was very even-tempered and kind. As he took the tray, she snagged a cookie off it, her smile turning a bit impish as she started to nibble.]
[ Okay, so maybe she's super late. But it's... better than not showing at all, right? Well, maybe. That remains to be seen, actually. But for better or for worse, Carrie slides in all civvie'd out and playing it totally casual. The brownies she'd picked up at some bakery somewhere are slipped onto a table like they'd been there all along, and Carrie herself slips into some chair near a TV somewhere likewise.
[ Yeah... pulling the 'what, I've totally been here all along' card is probably not going to work on a bat. So instead, operation totally casual: maximize. She shrugs. ]
Any time I show up's right on time, far as I'm concerned.
[Nill has been carrying dishes from the table to the kitchen, but once that's done she immediately goes to find Damian. Finding him, she gives a little half-smile. If he really wanted her to leave, she supposed she could, but she thought that maybe he just wasn't used to having company like this. Not that she was either, but it hadn't been as hard to deal with as she'd first imagined.]

Hi. Thanks for inviting me. I was afraid I wasn't in the right place.

Hi. Glad you came.
[She eyes the tin curiously, and then motions toward the kitchen.]
Might know... some people here.
