[It wasn't necessarily difficult to spot. While not the most swarmed place in the park, the entrance to the cave was definitely covered. Baroona himself was struggling to fend off a number of... he wasn't quite sure. Tentacle demons weren't really something that he dealt with regularly. Couple that with the fact that his knives seemed to be doing very, very little damage the situation did not look good.

At the moment he was sporting a couple cuts, bruises, and his knives were tangled in another creature's tentacles. Which didn't help when a tentacle creature was currently looming over him.]

[And now Tom is just staring at Baroona like it's the most obvious answer in the world.]

I have a couple cartons of cigarettes too?

[Gives him a look, opening up his pouch to reveal several cartons of cigarettes. You'll have to do better than that.

Ooooor the creatures will do it. A tentacle latches onto Baroona's arm as he holds the pouch-flap open. The creature yanks him towards it while Baroona grasps for a firm hold on his knives.]

[Way to make Tom jealous, though he does have to wonder why Baroona is carrying entire cartons around...

Not that he has time to really consider that when he's lunging at said tentacle on Baroona, tearing through it rather quickly and effectively, for once.]

My place isn't overrun with tentacle monsters?

Fine.

[The creatures loom closer and he steps closer to Tom.]

[This is Tom in ridiculously protective mode. It rarely happens, but Tom will fight without hesitation for a cause.]

Just stay close. Stab anything that gets too close... Excluding me, of course.

[And that's when he practically tackles one of the creatures, clawing out it's eyes and clearing a path.]

[He nods, interpreting Tom's words to mean "cover me". So he does, knives in fluid motion around him, slicing and chopping almost everything around him (excluding Tom). Even still it becomes fairly clear how easy it will be for the monsters to overwhelm them and Baroona presses closer to Tom.]
