Scathach hadn't been to a club in a long while, but that didn't mean she'd lost her touch. Dressed appropriately, she placed her hand comfortingly on Raven's shoulder. She could tell how shocking this was for her; she didn't need her abilities to see that. With a little squeeze, she smiled, lips closed to hide her pointed teeth. "It isn't so different from what you know, really." A small lie, but one that might help. "Just follow the beat. It is easy enough."

Raven looked up at Scatty when the other put a hand on her shoulder, and realized that she must've looked like some sort of country yokel staring at the dance floor. She flushed for a second, then looked away and managed to regain her composure, back to her normal self.

"It is pretty different," she said, not quite agreeing with what Scatty had said. Still... "I can figure out how to do it though." She was very good at copying people, after all.

There, that was better. She hadn't even needed to take the nervousness out of the girl. "Right. Just try to stick close. The men here aren't always gentlemen." Not that Scatty had come unprepared. She always had a weapon on her, and tonight was no different. There was a small dagger strapped to the inside of her thigh, just in case. After a moment, she added: "I'm sure you can take care of yourself, so it's just a suggestion."

"The men weren't always gentlemen back in the sixties, either," she said with a little smile. Granted, she didn't go to places with many...unpleasant sorts...considering Charles' taste in dumb but elegant girls, but there were always a few.

"So..." She did feel really old fashion as her eyes watched the dance floor, and she looked back at Scatty for a moment. "They're all just dancing with...whomever? I mean a lot of it looks pretty," a little pause. "Intimate."

She really felt out of date now.

Angelica was all dolled up in her fanciest outfit. She was very pointedly trying to ignore her husband, she was just sure that he was going to try spoiling their good time. That would be just like him.

Scowling, she headed to the bar first. If she was going to survive this night, she needed a drink, the stronger the better.

The man at Barney's had assured him resort-casual was the thing this season, but Pietro had his doubts as he surveyed the rest of the club. Of course, he had his doubts about many things. Not the least of which being their expected company and Angelica's apparently less than spectacular mood. Nevertheless, he was determined to make every effort to enjoy himself while ensuring her safety. And possibly cut her off if it came to that.

She'd just ordered her first whiskey sour when she spotted Pietro approaching. Angelica huffed a little, then ordered another, hopping onto a stool. "You look like you should be on a cruise ship."

"It's supposed to be fashionable," he replied flatly, and ordered a drink for himself. Angelica had made note of his less than acceptable dressing habits before and truth be told, he didn't really feel like entertaining her complaints this evening. "I suppose I should've selected an animal print?"

Raven had been having a very fun time, really, though the dancing was somewhat more tiring and more...intimate...than she was used to. Which was probably why she had retreated to a table off to the side of the room.

She was on her fifth drink of the evening, which she was sipping as she sat there watching the crowd when a man approached the table. She had danced with him earlier, briefly, and he'd been...rather grabby. Uncomfortably so, despite the fact that he was fairly cute.

"Hey! You ran off earlier." He came to a stop in front of the table, obviously slightly drunk. "I wanted to keep dancing with you."

"Sorry, I'm not interested." She offered him an apologetic smile as she spoke.

"Sure ya are, blondie! Just come have one more dance. It'll be fun I promise," he was leaning over her table some, and she narrowed her eyes.

"No thanks."

"But-" He was reaching towards her ( ... )

Angelica was headed to the restroom when she spotted Raven at the table. She waved, smiling at her, though it appeared Raven perhaps didn't see her. Angelica didn't really think much of it, since Raven appeared to be speaking to the young man. Perhaps she'd found someone nice to dance and talk with. Angie nearly turned away back toward the restroom line when she saw the situation suddenly flare out of control and the man nearly take a spill.

A second later, Angelica's gaze turned back to Raven, catching her just as she was turning from blue to pinkish again.

"Oh my god!" She squawked, stumbling through the startled crowd toward Raven. "Raven?! Are you alright?!"

Raven wilted faintly when she heard Angie come rushing through the crowd, calling her name. That meant she had seen, probably. She wasn't entirely sure what that meant.

She forced herself to sit up a bit straighter as the other reached her, nodding and smiling faintly. "I'm fine, Angie." She said, taking a sip of her drink. Her gaze flicked towards the man who was still storming away, then back to her new friend. Well...hopefully her friend.

"He didn't want to take no for an answer, and I'm...a little tired. I overreacted and lost control for a second." She smiled weakly. "But it scared him away so...so it's okay now."

Angelica's head was a mess of thoughts and conclusions. She didn't want to make assumptions, but it was hard to ignore what she'd seen with her own eyes.

"What was that?" Angelica felt stupid for asking. Part of her was already assuming the answer. Was what Pietro had said about the Brotherhood correct all along? She really hoped it wasn't... but how many mutants were capable of what Raven had just done? There was only one that she knew about, and while Angelica only knew of Mystique by reputation, she was honestly a little afraid of the implications.
