Scathach hadn't been to a club in a long while, but that didn't mean she'd lost her touch. Dressed appropriately, she placed her hand comfortingly on Raven's shoulder. She could tell how shocking this was for her; she didn't need her abilities to see that. With a little squeeze, she smiled, lips closed to hide her pointed teeth. "It isn't so different from what you know, really." A small lie, but one that might help. "Just follow the beat. It is easy enough."

Raven looked up at Scatty when the other put a hand on her shoulder, and realized that she must've looked like some sort of country yokel staring at the dance floor. She flushed for a second, then looked away and managed to regain her composure, back to her normal self.

"It is pretty different," she said, not quite agreeing with what Scatty had said. Still... "I can figure out how to do it though." She was very good at copying people, after all.

There, that was better. She hadn't even needed to take the nervousness out of the girl. "Right. Just try to stick close. The men here aren't always gentlemen." Not that Scatty had come unprepared. She always had a weapon on her, and tonight was no different. There was a small dagger strapped to the inside of her thigh, just in case. After a moment, she added: "I'm sure you can take care of yourself, so it's just a suggestion."

"The men weren't always gentlemen back in the sixties, either," she said with a little smile. Granted, she didn't go to places with many...unpleasant sorts...considering Charles' taste in dumb but elegant girls, but there were always a few.

"So..." She did feel really old fashion as her eyes watched the dance floor, and she looked back at Scatty for a moment. "They're all just dancing with...whomever? I mean a lot of it looks pretty," a little pause. "Intimate."

She really felt out of date now.

A little laugh, and Scathach went to loop her arm with her companion's. "You can dance with me, if it would make you feel better." Not that they really knew one another much more than they knew any of the people here, but it was a start. "And you can dance however you like. Don't let them set the precedent."

It did actually make feel Raven a little better, not minding the arm loop much. Sure, Scatty was a 'stranger' of a sort, but she'd spoken to her a number of times on the network, and she liked the other girl. Although her confidence while appearing younger than Raven threw her a little. But she was used to all this, right?

"Sure," she agreed with a smile. "That's...probably a better way to ease into it than just picking someone random and dancing with. Thanks."

Tonks was running late. She had to work that day and her shift ran late. Even apparition could not make her punctual.

Once in the club, she had to look for Raven. It took a bit of effort to find her amongst the throng of people. Nevertheless Tonks was able to persevere and finally find Raven.

"Right, sorry. You would not believe my day." Tonks exclaimed as she came to an abrupt halt near Raven and her friend. She had dressed up. She was wearing a teal and plum dress. However, there were no high-heals in sight. When you were as clumsy as Tonks it was for the best to avoid anything that didn't keep your feet flat on the ground.

"Have I missed anything yet?"

Raven smiled when she saw Tonks approaching, giving her a wave with the arm that wasn't currently captured by Scatty. "Hey. It's fine. We only got here a few minutes ago." She was glad the other girl had come, she rather liked knowing another shape-shifter, even if Tonks was doing it by magic instead of by genetics.

"Do you two know each other?" She asked, looking from Scatty to Tonks and back.

Scathach smiled at the new arrival. She had never actually met her, but she was aware of Tonks' presence in the City, especially since she was associated with Sirius and Harry. "Not formally," she said lightly, holding out her hand for a shake. "Scathach."

Tonks accepted Scathach's hand with a pleasant smile. "It's nice to meet you Scathach. I'm Tonks." Just Tonks, surname only please but with the 'not formally' comment, she thought that Scathach probably already knew that.

Raven looked from one to the other as intro's happened, nodding her head as if this was a good thing. Because it was, dang it. Somehow.

"Great. Scatty was going to dance with me so I can..." She glanced over at the dance floor again. "...Adjust." Okay, she was fairly certain she wasn't going to do whatever that girl was doing there. Hrm.

"Want to come?"

"A pleasure, Tonks." Scathach had never considered that it might make people feel awkward if they found out she knew more about them than they suspected, but luckily she didn't start asking about how the rest of the people from Tonks' world were doing. It might have raised some questions that wasn't needed at the moment. "You're more than welcome to join us," she added.

Tonks could and would appreciate Scathach not revealing more than she knew. "D'you prefer Scatty or Scathach?" Having a given name like Nymphadora, Tonks felt it was important to ask.

She looked out at the dance floor. "Yeah, I think I will. Just a bit of a warning though, mind your toes." Tonks was just a bit clumsy.
