Okay, when Johnny had heard about this free amusement park thing, he'd never even imagined it'd be something like this.

This was KaibaLand. Like the real for serious original KaibaLand! Like out of history vids and movies and stuff! There was no way this time travel thing could possibly get any cooler.

Johnny left his d-board and helmet at the storage place by the entrance and immediately took off like a rocket. He wanted to see everything!

And Johnny... didn't even turn to look. He just kept staring in fascination up at the Monster World sign up above him like he hadn't even picked out anything at all from the collective noise of the crowd. Which he hadn't. He may have been told that his older self's name was Bruno, but he hadn't really bothered to internalize it yet.

Sorry Bakura. Insert 1 token and try again?

And being of course absolutely unaware of any impending glomp-assault, Johnny's response to being plowed into by an only-slightly-littler kid was pretty much exactly what you'd expect it to be: i.e., stumbling forward under the impact and falling right on his face.

"OofFWHAA--?! HRRNKGH--!!"

And that was some pretty sound planning on bitty!Bakura's part, because Johnny got to his knees and turned around with a slightly bloody nose and the very picture of a 'y u do dis' face.

"W-what was that all about?!" he demanded, although he was pretty immediately distracted by the fact that holy crap this kid has glowing hands.

Lucky for the both of them Johnny was too busy squinting from the glowing hands in his face to protest the fact that Bakura was shoving his glowing hands in his face. That and the fact that the weird tingle in his nose made him pretty sure he was about to sneeze.

But the tingle faded, the glowing faded, and, to his surprise, the pain of his bloody nose faded. He blinked wildly, sniffled and rubbed his nose with his sleeve, but it was pretty obvious that he wasn't even bleeding anymore.

Time to stare openly at the apparently superpowered little shrimpy kid. "Uh... th-thanks...?"

"Uhh..." he said hesitantly. May...be the kid was trying to find a way to apologize for randomly crashing into him? Johnny was still kinda mad about it, but he remembered what his mom'd said about learning to get along with littler kids in order to be a good big brother when his sister came along. And he did come to play Monster World, after all.

"Erm... sure, why not? Okay."

Johnny rolled his eyes as soon as the kid turned around, feeling kinda stupid being led around by the hand by a little squirt like this. But then as soon as he spoke Johnny forgot all about that and just stared in disbelief at the back of the kid's head.

"You made this??" he asked, sounding actually pretty impressed.

And... also, something about that seemed to nip at the edges of his memory a little, and he gently tried to pull them both to a halt. "Um..." he started off awkwardly, "By the way, erm... who are you?"

Ah-ahhhh what did that small voice mean?? Did that mean the kid was about to cry?? Johnny let go of his hand and stared nervously down at him like he was very small bomb that might go off any second.

"N-no! It's not, uh-- I mean, I remember a little bit!"--It wasn't totally a fib, he was sort of getting that tug now like he knew this kid from somewhere-- "I just... I just don't remember your name, is all!"

Johnny decided to wait a little bit before he went and corrected him on calling him 'Bruno' too. At least the fact that he was calling him that confirmed that he must know the grown-up him, though.

Kiryu, of course, was just as excited. He'd only gone to a KaibaLand once, before his little brother had been born so he didn't even really remember it, and the only amusement park that had ended up in Satellite had been so damaged that everyone knew better than to go near it. So this was awesome.

And it wasn't long before he spotted another kid with blue hair running around, though his was definitely bright blue and not only vaguely blue. That was both awesome and, as he'd quickly discovered, a very good indicator that this kid was from home. Yes.

"Hey!" he called, running over, waving. "Hey you!"
