[ What's this? Mikoto arriving before Bart? It's very possible, when you're the fastest boy alive. . .

And have to sit through a few hours of romantic comedies to know just what to do on a date.

Grife, those were painful. Not only were they boring, but there was no action! Where were the chase scenes? The explosions? Though grudgingly, he watched them anyway; she's a friend, after all, and Bart could never turn down a friend asking for help.

A familiar gust of wind, and suddenly flowers appear out of nowhere! Those flowers will be falling not-so-gracefully into your hands as an unmasked Bart reaches for a comic on the shelf. ]

Cool. I haven't read this one.

[ And reads it he does! In all of 0.5 seconds. He then puts it back and turns her attention to her. ]

Hey, Misaka!

[He is so graceful with the flowers that they wind up too close to her nose, which makes her sneeze. She rubs her nose with a tissue she pulls out of her purse, casting Bart an irritated look all the while.

...Although the flowers were pretty---they kind of went with her white sundress and the matching flower barrette she had in her hair. She'd put them in a vase or something when she got home.]

Didn't I tell you you didn't have to go out of your way to buy me things?

Gesundheit. [ Hello the only German word Bart knows ever. ]

Well, Johnny told me to give you 'em. And all the girlfriends on TV seem to like flowers a lot for some reason, so why not?

Nani? [Have a raise of the eyebrow. She doesn't know German, but decides to brush it off.]

[And at the sight of Johnny's name, Mikoto looks even more bewildered.]

You mean that Human Torch show-off guy? Jeez, just how many people did you ask for advice?

Uh ...

[ Then he goes to counting! ]

16? But they came to me, not the other way round!

[ IT IS NOT HIS FAULT. Though maybe it is for asking the network in the first place. Also, looks like it's almost time to meet that girl. ]

Well, so long as you didn't give out my name or anything...

[Mikoto peers at the clock on her comm. Yup, it's Go Time. She hesitates at first, then takes Bart's hand, and gives him a determined look.]

Don't mess this up, got it?

[The girl said to meet her at the ice cream place, which is only a few feet away. When our Dynamic Duo arrives, Mikoto is quick to spot a black-haired girl with glasses looking like she's waiting for someone. When the girl has her back turned to them, Mikoto gives Bart a light jab with her elbow.]

That's her! Quick! Go get an ice cream cone so it can look like we're sharing it!

Oof! Why do you always -- [ Then he reads her communicator! And promptly disappears. ]

[ He returns with an ice-cream cone in hand! Triple scoop, too. Bart has a big appetite. ]

Here. What do we do? Eat it now?

[Mikoto sighs loudly at the size of the cone, but it'll have to do. Upon hearing Mikoto's sigh, the girl turns around, immediately brightening at the sight of Mikoto (she hasn't noticed Bart yet, it seems.), causing the latter to pale somewhat, but---]

Just follow my lead.

[And then, in a sudden display of girly cuteness, Mikoto greets to the girl, smiling brightly----]

Konnichiwa! I don't speak English, so I have to use this. I hope you don't mind!

[The girl shakes her head, quipping, "not at all, Electric Princess Knight!" Mikoto nods, then types out:]

And this is my boyfriend, Bart!

[The girl promptly frowns. Mikoto turns to Bart and...sort of hugs him, leaning toward the ice cream cone, continuing to smile.]

Oishii...! Watashi ha tabeteru dekimasu ka?

[And she takes a small lick of it. The girl gapes.]

Shokubeni kuru! Have some!

[ WHO IS THIS GIRL

A POD PERSON??? That's what Bart is imagining right now, as he stares at Mikoto with the most confused expression.]

Huh?

[ It takes a second before he realises that he should probably play along too. ]

Yeah, sure, I'll have some --

WAIT NO

[outspeeds]

I mean, [ He turns to the fangirl and puts on his best(though still quite terrible) acting face! ] since we're both boyfriend and girlfriend and do this all the time and all!

[ He takes a bite out of the ice-cream, and the girl's frown deepens as he does. She swallows the frown down, and puts on a more chipper face for Mikoto. She fishes out her cellphone and types out something, then presses 'translate'. She then puts it in Mikoto's hand. ]

Did you like the chocolates? ♥

[Mikoto's eye twitches at Bart's terribly overly-theatrical grin for a moment. Dear god, and you thought William Shatner was the master of exaggeration (but at least he did it with some kind of style!). She wants to elbow-jab him again, but decides against it, muttering:]

Anata ga surun da...

[Buuuuut she quickly grins at the fangirl, still wrapping her arms around Bart's own arm and nods.]

Mm!

[She leans her head on Bart's shoulder, unwrapping one arm to type out:]

They were really good---in fact, I couldn't help but share them with Bart!

[The girl frowns again, looking vaguely...skeeved. She looks from Bart to Mikoto and then back again, asking in English to Bart himself and looking awfully suspicious:]

...Just how long have you two been going out?

[Mikoto swallows for a moment, and shifts her eyes toward Bart, smile now crooked and looking expectant, as if to say, don't mess this up.]
