When Cynthia wasn't exploring the City from the back of her Garchomp, she had been making a point to visit every library and bookstore she could find in a never-ending search for more information on this world. She had already raided the library closest to the MAC, and all her visits to the larger bookstores had mostly been disappointing.

All she wanted was a nice, comprehensive book on the mythology of this planet/universe! How hard could that be to find? Her search today had led her to Sandust Bookstore, and she was browsing the shelves with excitement. She already had a rather thick volume cradled in one arm

She had a small entourage in the form of an extremely large black dog. This woman smelled weird. Well, no, she didn't smell weird, but she smelled like she spent a lot of time with weird things. The human part of Sirius's mind usually kept at least a toe-hold on what was going on when he was in Padfoot form, so he didn't do anything embarrassing like, say, sticking his nose in various parts of people's anatomies. Unfortunately, a significantly larger portion of that mind was devoted to smells when he was in a dog, and occasionally that part would just take precedence when faced with something particularly intriguing.

Sirius had no idea what a Garchomp was, but Padfoot was fascinated, and couldn't stop trying to smell more about the creature off of Cynthia's hands and clothes.

Cynthia was no stranger to not-so-small furry critters following her around, but of course it wasn't a Pokemon in this case, but one of this universe's animals. So Sirius was the recipient of quite a few pats and behind-the-ear skritches.

Eventually, she had to set down the books she had gathered in her arms down to pay more attention to the curious animal. She crouched down to about eye-level, and gave him a few more pats on his muzzle. "So you're a dog, huh?" She asked, not feeling particularly silly about conversing with an animal, since it wasn't like anyone was around to overhear.

Bucky tries to run at least five miles everyday. He won't admit it, but he likes the routine. And Central Park is just about the best place for running in the City, so it was where he wound up most of the time.

The other nice thing about the park is that it was shot through with drinking fountains, so he could stop now and then and cool off. Even if the water did taste a bit like metal.

Oh Merlin, what a setup. The charm was simple enough that Sirius didn't even need a wand. He just needed to keep on jogging by, grinning fit to split his face, and mutter under his breath.

"Aguamenti!"

How's a little guyser of water up the nose sound, Bucky?

One thing about Bucky: he's paranoid. He is always open to interpreting a plumbing quirk as a Nazi conspiracy. And so, water thick on his face, he turned to look around. Possibly for the Red Skull.

There. That stupidly grinning fella. Where had Bucky seen him before?

[ Tyler is smoking cigarettes, sitting on a park bench. He's not waiting for anything in particular, just watching the people walk by and considering them, sizing them up for a fight.

Your assignment this week is to go out and lose a fight...

Taking things up a notch, he thinks. Tyler Durden is thinking of space monkeys and assignments and mayhem, and he's watching people go by and thinking of fighting them. ]
