Hank thought it might be rude to invite James to the mansion and be absent the whole time, so he decided it was time to pay a visit. Classes were out for the day, after all, so he had a bit of free time.

He spotted James out in the yard with the dog, and gave them a wave as he was still a little ways off. Even in New York, it was never hard to spot him from a distance.

James didn't really want to talk about his mom. He still wasn't certain what to think about the version of her here. She was his mom, but... at the same time, this Black Widow couldn't be.

It wasn't fair to her to expect her to be his mom, but James couldn't help but hope he'd have the chance to spend time with her, to talk to her. Couldn't help but hope to get to know his mom, if there was any way at all this Natasha was like his mom.

Hank just stood there a moment as the silence thickened. It spoke volumes. "...I'll take that as a no."

"She does, but... I don't think she's my mom. I don't think she wants to be. It's complicated."

James didn't unerstand her, didn't really know much about her, either. "I've only seen her a couple times."

"It's possible we may be dealing with separate universes here." Really never could tell in a place like this.
