Despite the fact that James had made it very clear this wasn't a date, it hadn't stopped Lily from doing large amounts of pacing all day. It wasn't because she was nervous- it was James, honestly what was there to be nervous of? Knowing that Remus and Edgeworth were going to accompany them settled her anxiety slightly, but it also made it seem more like a double-date since the two of them were together

"Er, hallo," he replied, smiling back. "Er. Think you'd like a coat or something? It's a bit cold outside. Not snowing or anything, but still cold enough." He was wearing the shirt Sirius had loaned him underneath a coat and scarf, and his hair was moderately tame. Well. As tame as he could make it under the circumstances. James fidgeted a little and adjusted his glasses.

"So. Where do you want to go first?"

Lily stepped back inside the apartment to grab her coat, slipping it on as she walked into the hallway and closed the door behind her.

"Well, we should find Remus and Edgeworth first, right?" she asked, hands sliding into her pockets.

"Er, yeah, I suppose." He shifted a bit and shrugged. "I told them we'd meet them outside, if you like. I was just trying to think of other places we could go, aside from ice-skating."

Lily found herself smiling again as she caught sight of Remus, and made her way over to him.

"Morning, Remus," she said. "How are you?"

THE GRUFF GRUMP IS HERE. HE IS LATE, BUT HE IS HERE.

Having generally accepted that the vast majority of teenagers could not be held to a time schedule, Edgeworth was not nearly as cranky as he might otherwise have been (which would have been very much, whether they had been on time or not). Instead, he'd seemed content to pull memories out of his head and arrange them on the blue logic-board that only he could see, idly seeking out patterns to things of no real importance.

Lily's arrival forced him to pay attention, though, and so he straightened up and affected a small bow to both her and her companion, the board fading away from his vision.

Hrm. Potter cleaned up well enough.

"You must be Edgeworth," she smiled, turning her attention to Remus' companion. "It's nice to finally meet you. I'm Lily."

Assuming, eventually, they've made it to Central Park, or what passes for it in the City -- James was severely tempted to go frolic in what was left of the snow. But he couldn't just dive in to the snow now, it would feel a bit rude to Lily. So would throwing a snowball at her. After debating the points of this in his head for a moment or two, he turned to Lily and gestured to the park at large.

"So, er, did you want to go for a wander, or have a snowball fight, or..?"

Lily grinned openly at him, one hand innocently behind her back.

"What's that over there?" she asked, pointing off somewhere beyond James. The second his back was turned she launched a snowball at him, laughing as it hit him squarely in the back of the head. "Oh, my mistake. I thought I saw something."

"Augh!" James yelped and dived to grab some snow of his own, hurriedly packing it into a snowball and tossing it at Lily. Without waiting to see whether it connected or not, he dived back into the snow to begin stocking up on snowballs.

"You realize this means war, don't you, Lily?" He called, laughing.

Lily hurriedly ducked out of the way of his snowball, dropping to her knees to begin her own stock of artillery. If he wanted a war, he'd get one.

"A war I'll win!" she countered, unable to help the smile on her face.
