HIDEOUS NIGHTMARES )
His friends had never been cowards. He couldn't believe they were trying to take that way out now. he couldn't believe he'd followed them. but he couldn't let them get hurt either...
Then he was on the ground and the side of his leg was on fire. Fuck. It had to be raining tonight ( ... )

Kiryu laughed a little, not really believing it was over. It couldn't be that simple, it had never been that simple. but it certainly seemed to over, and it was because of Crow.
"Crow..." He struggled to his feet, leaning heavily against the bars. "Would you let me out of here?"

He crouched down as he started working at the cell's door. "Who was that bastard anyway?"
Reply
"His name's Cavil. He killed me once to test his powers." Kiryu chuckled, closing his eyes as he remembered their other meeting. "I killed him a couple months after in revenge. He's been trying to get back at me since."

That would at least explain the strange way he had disappeared.
But… that couldn't be, right; they had gotten them all back then. Something's really not adding up here. Not that that mattered when he heard a satisfying click and got up to swing the door open.
"Here ya go."

Kiryu made his way over to the door and slipped outside, though still with a firm grip on one of the bars. He thought he might feel better in a little while, but for now it was an effort just to keep standing.
But he would keep making that effort, because Crow was here and Crow had helped him and Crow didn't hate him after all. He was struck with such guilt for ever doubting his friend in the first place, staying standing for him was the least he could do.
"You really came here to help me..." Just, what did he say to that? Thank you? "Crow, I..."

"More like ended up here…" he mumbled with a frown. "It doesn't make sense at all. But I ain't gonna leave you behind now."
Then he shook his head and stepped closer to offer Kiryu his shoulder. "Come on, let's get outta here."
Reply
"Yeah, but you could've left or...yeah..." He blinked down at Crow, awkwardly shifting to lean against him instead. It was...weird, feeling like he could trust Crow again.
He'd always been comfortable with teasing him, though. "This isn't gonna work well. You're too short."

He stalked up the dark corridor, certain he was close. He heard the scream, and hastened his pace, his gray coat flaring out behind you. "Kyosuke!" he barked into the darkness. "I'm coming!"
Reply
"NO!" A solid wall slid into place at the end of the hall, shutting them off. "Alastair, you can't come down here!"
Reply
He heard something else down there. Someone. If someone was hurting Kiryu, they were going to pay.
Reply
He wouldn't let Alastair get hurt because of him. Alastair had already been in danger enough because of him, and he wouldn't let it happen again. Not again.
And then Cavil had to speak, his voice echoing through the dreamscape, "Yes, run away. I'm sure your friend would be better off without you."

Anger, seething hatred, those were stronger than fear as well. Alastair raged, and the green light began to swell around him. The telekinetic powers of the Oricalchos rippled outward from him, blasting a hole in the wall through which he could step. And he did, the green symbol blazing on his forehead.

Kiryu was shocked too, of course, but it was more shock and awe in his case than shock and fear. He'd known that Alastair had had some sort of power before--maybe this was it. The mark on his arm certainly seemed to think it was, as it started glowing in response.
"Alastair, you..."

He didn't have his duel disk on him, but he had his cards in a back pocket. He flicked one out and held it out, a spell card written in a different language. The room shimmered with green light, and the mystical Seal appeared beneath their feet. Kiryu's mark would save him from this, but Cavil? He stood no chance against magic when he had no dueling skill to save him.

Cavil took another step back, certainly not expecting the floor to just start glowing or for Alastair to have such a backbone. He was still able to sneer at him, "You think I have a soul? So sorry to disappoint..."
