Rue arrived not long afterward, feeling surprisingly calm after what had happened last week. She did dread playing the villain again, but it felt good to be dancing, no matter what the role. And even if she didn't want to admit it, she was looking forward to it. Even if she did have to dance with Fakir.

Looking around and seeing that the boys hadn't arrived yet, she set down her bag and settled in next to Duck.

"You're not nervous, are you?" she asked, peering over at her.

"Nervous?" Duck's laugh was almost a high-pitched squeak, enough to answer Rue's question by itself. "Why would I be nervous?"
