He knocks on the door. His casual dress was a beat-up fedora, flannel shirt and jeans. Not entirely typical for an undercover specialist so hey it was different and it was comfortable. No one made any specifics on the dress code, as if he would pay it much mind anyway.]

Hey! Welcome. Come in.
[She sees the bag he has and the crutches.]
Need any help?

[He hands over the bag which contains a bottle of 80 proof tequila, a small box of Belgian chocolate truffles, and two tickets to a football game.]
Nice digs.
[He enters in with ease considering his current condition.
I'm Sheldon Sands. Also know to Pete as Mr. Trouble, if he hasn't called me that already.
[He smirks.]

[She takes the bag from him with a wry smile. Oh these cops.]
Nice hat. I'm Janet Pym, good to meet you. Can I get you a drink? We have beer, soda, water, hard alcohol-- anything you want.
[Unless, of course, he was taking painkillers for whatever he needed crutches for. Pills + booze = vomity mess.]

Officer. C'mon in.
[He hopes that's enough of an invitation. That's a vampire thing, isn't it? That they have to be invited? Or did Joss Whedon make that up?]
Reply
Thank you sir, and um thank you for the invitation. Oh, and this is for you!
[She holds out the gift to him.]
Reply
Oh, hey.
[He takes the gift and pauses. Are you supposed to open it in front of the person who gave it to you, or wait until they've gone?]
I...bet it's great.
