Of course, Fakir had been the one first to the door, opening it quickly and calmly. Wearing shorts and a baggy tank top, he made a good foil to Rue's actual efforts to look nice for the visit. Wordlessly, he stepped aside as if to invite her inside.

Briefly shooting him a look of disdain, Rue stepped inside, looking around for Mytho.

"Where is he?" she asked.

Fakir just nodded to the window at the far side of the room before stepping into the kitchen, his bare feet producing basically no sound until he hit the linoleum.

Rue looked over at Mytho, sitting there with a strange, distant expression on his face, and wondered, for a moment, if she should even be here. Would it really do any good to talk to him? Could she even say what she wanted to?
