That party had been alright, but Jono was already sinking back into being culture-shocked and a little on the moody side - something he'd not been since before he'd started dating Husk, in his world. Didn't help that the Paige here seemed to be avoiding him, and he was willing to admit that maybe he was avoiding her back.

He had taken to walking the grounds of the Xavier Institute more and more often, as a result; it got him outside, into a world that for all intents and purposes didn't exist anymore where he was from, and so he meant to enjoy it. Alone.

Although, if he was quite honest with himself, Jono wasn't completely perturbed by the sight of a blonde girl and a dog coming up the path towards him. That changed slightly by the time he recognized her, but by then it was too late; he'd already made eye contact.

It took a moment for Illyana to recognize Jono, he looked so different from the one that had been here previously. She tilted her head when she got closer and then stopped. There was no harm in saying something right?

"Jono?"

"Illyana." Jono'd frozen up a bit, not quite sure what to say. "You're... older."

A fact he'd already known, but this confident and mature-looking teenager was a far cry from the frightened, dirty child he'd met for a few brief moments.

"Yes," Illyana responded, simply. "You seem surprised. This is not the first time we've seen each other. You look very different than the last time you were here. Not like Apocalypse at all."

It probably wasn't the nicest thing to say, and it certainly wasn't the best way to approach a sensitive subject like that. But, Illyana never cared about things like that.
