It was an odd sight: Illyana Rasputin and an energetic puppy walking together around the grounds of the Xavier Institute. The puppy bounced around happily dancing between Illyana's legs, he wasn't on a leash but he still stayed close to her. He didn't need a leash, at least that was Illyana's opinion on the matter. It was also Piotr's opinion, she'd asked him. The spell she'd cast on him allowed them to communicate in a rudimentary way, which meant that she could tell him that he could go around without a leash as long as he stayed close to her, and he'd understand.
She liked being able to communicate with him, he was a friend to her, a friend that didn't judge at all. Piotr never worried about her soul, he never judged her for the sins of her past, and he never looked at her with fear in his eyes. No matter how hard people tried to hide it, she knew that sometimes people were afraid of her. Piotr never was, he was just happy to be with her. She liked walking with him, it was oddly normal.
Illyana wasn't prepared to run into anyone today, she was content to just walk with Piotr but she wouldn't teleport away if someone happened to notice her and want to talk.
