Am I on?

I really should read up on how to operate these infernal devices. Really, I much prefer the look and texture of a book, even after being trapped in one for a millennium. Still, I’ve been told this is the most common form of communication, so it would behoove me to learn how to use it, at least.
Forgive me, though, all of you, as I am certain you grow tired of my rambling. I am Malchior of Nol, and it is a pleasure to meet you all. I’m afraid I’m a little new to these… “computers”, as I’m told they are called, so please be so kind as to bear with me through any errors I make.
I’ve heard I’ll require employment in a place like this, and, having given the matter some thought, I think I should like to be a librarian, or a tutor, or a teacher. I am extremely well-read, and though I endeavor to be polite, I can meander a little, as I’m sure many of you can tell. As most of you, I presume, know this city much better than I, I hope to enlist your aid in locating a place where I might find such employment.
