Some of the Greek ones weren't so bad.

I'm pretty fond of Greek myths, too. That may have something to do with my association with Wonder Woman, though. It adds a certain realism to things that makes it even more exciting.

I cannot say I find much joy in myths. What pleasure is there in a beginning when you've already got the end?

It's not about the beginning and end. It's the journey in the middle that makes for a really good story.

'Tis a simple road that only leads to one place, and 'tis a boring tale that has but one finish.

You should try a Choose Your Own Adventure book, then.

I prefer the myths about dragons. Mm, but none of those end very well.

There's gotta be one somewhere that ends well.

That probably depends on which side you're rooting for.

There's enough universes out there that there's probably a few from both sides.

Batman's a pretty good myth.

Batman lost his urban legend status a long time ago.

[ OH LITERARY DISCUSSION. The perfect distraction to his disappointing return, thank you Kara. ]

I can think of one "myth" from home but it's not a very pleasant story.

Anyway, would Biblical stories count? I'm pretty familiar with those.

A lot of myths and legends aren't always pleasant. That doesn't mean they're not still good stories.

Those definitely count.

Fair enough. Well, if you're interested, I suppose I could tell that one too.

It's kind of a cliche now, but I've always liked the story of David and Goliath. There's something very uplifting about a little guy holding his own against a powerful monster, you know?

I'm definitely interested.

Oh, yeah. There's definitely something about the stories where the underdog wins. They always make me want to cheer at the end.
