Well said. I will need to [ LOOK GUYS LOOK WHAT HE'S DOING!! ] discuss it with my team, but the idea is sound.

Oh, so you plan on informing them before you make a public announcement this time.

I suppose it is improvement.

I even said we'd discuss it. There's a difference.

Discussion means different things to different people.

Well said. I'd sooner trust your team than Stark's.

I don't think it's possible to avoid team politics and the histories tied into them, but I'd like to think there's a chance we can look past personal misgivings to achieve a common goal. [beat.] At least, in the event of crisis. I saw a lot of potential during that incident here and in the capital, but lots more room for improvement.

Not everything can get swept under the rug, but as long as lives can be saved and further danger averted...

No, you'll never be able to avoid politics entirely.

Are you worried at all about the size of the alliance you've proposed?

Numbers always make for more room for conflict, certainly, but I'm not proposing something so sticky. Only a means for people to be able to reach across the spectrum for help if needed and to be able to get that help faster. Neighbors helping neighbors.

Oh, it's just one sodding speech after another recently.

It comes with the territory.

It's a little tedious, I'm afraid. And all too American.

I can't help but be a little proud of the latter, but as for the former...if a new network is made, you won't have to suffer things like this from the likes of me much longer.

I appreciate your patience, though. Hopefully there won't be a need for things like this soon.

[Nooo being a public-ish figure... okay fine, it comes with being leader of the Titans. Ahem.]

I'll talk to the other Titans, although I have a feeling it won't take too much discussion.

[that's right put on the leaderpants, leaderpants.] If experience counts for anything, I know all of you will continue to be of great help. We'll only work better knowing who else we have to rely on. I don't think we should have to wait for another crisis to find out.

[But they stand out from the all-concealing shadows :(] You're right, waiting for another crisis to bring us together would be too reactionary. We should be able to work together without it coming to that. And although it's unfortunate that the way people are Ported in and out frequently might mitigate some of the effectiveness of a meeting, it's still a useful tactic.

The porting in and out is the biggest issue, I think, aside from being from alternate Earths and times. There's not much we can do to stop that as of yet, so we work around it. These bonds may help team and morale disintegration, if anything.

[Charlie actually looks rather nervous when she pops up on the screen, sort of giving a half-wave. She's got her mask on. Superman kinda intimidates the hell out of her.]

So like...would this include people who work with Oracle? Or are you still angry 'cause of that thing in Metropolis...?

[a milder face, lifting a hand. and here Elle pretends she knows what event you referred to HELP ME IF I DON'T STRIKE THE RIGHT TONE.]

Anyone Oracle counts as trustworthy is more than included. We have to keep going forward, doing our best, don't we?

[While trying to stop a teenage gun-runner who had some kind of crazy robot space alien truck thing, they accidentally turned a city block of metropolis to dust. He flew by and yelled at them and she totally cried a lot quietly. I...don't know what the appropriate tone is there?]

Ah...yeah...I guess so. Just, I don't...

[She sighs. Charlie totally still feels pretty guilty about that, no matter who told her it wasn't her fault. She takes a breath.]

Is it like, a Justice League or something?

[as;f okay I WILL MAKE THIS WERK and you will yell at me if i don't]

Nothing so formal. A means of better knowing the powers available for help, rather. This network has its perks to that effect, but intermingled with more civilian or...not-so-heroic members, I think there's cause for something more.
