"Even when I tell you you're a nuisance and an idiot?" Fakir asked, a vague but fond smile tugging at his lips. "You have a talent for just accepting things with a smile on your face."
"Really?" Duck couldn't really believe her ears. Before she and Fakir had teamed up, he'd been the one who'd called her strange, aimless and duck-like the most. It was nice to hear, though.
"Either that, or you're weird and I've gotten used to it," Fakir said. He got to his feet, bringing his bookbag with him. "I should probably get going home."
