I noticed on a antiquing trip this past weekend something that had escaped my notice before - there used to be postcards for almost everything. They were not limited to a random scenic waterfall or landscape for Minnesota - here was a picture of THIS waterfall, or THAT landscape. Sometimes when I am alone, especially when I am reading, I am free somehow from the burdens of my life, and find myself reacting purely to each and every thing. Last night, there was the water at my feet, the wind sounding over the mouth of my bottle, a dragonfly resting on my hand.

Considering I almost never actually go out and take pictures, I do spend a lot of time geeking out about cameras. My current dream camera (literally a dream, since no one has one out) is a micro four thirds camera with a dedicated ISO dial and a shutter speed dial on top of the camera.
