Recently I've been making a drink I initially cobbled together as
a variation on a Cosmopolitan. After a few additional substitutions it got so far from the standard form of a Cosmo I really couldn't call it "House recipe Cosmopolitan" anymore. But I do like it, so I've kept making it.
What's in a name? Well, kinda everything. When I join colleagues for weekly happy hours via Zoom (that's a genuine thing during Coronavirus lockdown) they're curious what I'm drinking, and as I start to explain, "Well, it's like a Cosmopolitan but..." their eyes glaze over. My drink needs a name.
This week it struck me what to name it: Quarantini!
