Home From One Trip, Out on Another!

Last night we got home from our quick weekend trip to Oregon, arriving at SJC airport at 9:20pm and walking through our own front door just after 10. Now, 17 hours after I left the airport I'm back here again!
Today I'm headed out to Southern California, Orange County in particular. I'm delivering a technical workship and strategic meeting for a customer in Irvine tomorow. I'll fly back late afternoon after the meeting.
Technically I could take a flight down tomorrow morning, conduct the meeting, and fly back same-day. That would minimize my time in transit... though time is not the only variable to solve for. There's also stress and risk! In particular, the risk that if I fly tomorrow morning, any significant mis-hap that disrupts the flight schedule- fog, rain, aircraft mechanical problems- would mean I miss the meeting. And lest you think, "Oh, it's California and it's still technically summer, it won't rain"... it actually rained this morning in the Bay Area! So I'm flying down to Irvine this afternoon, relaxing in a hotel, and catching a lift to the client site tomorrow morning.
