Thought you all might be interested in this email I got today from Grad Studies at my uni (and no, I was not one of the lucky people who was able to check my results!!):

Hi all,

If you click the little information button on your status page, it now says "Information on the results of the competition will be available after April 16, 2008."

I wonder: if they mean April 18th, why don't they just say so and save us all hours of mindless refreshing?

Mine still says the 14th, not the 16th. Very strange!

Blah, reversion list, what are my chances of actually getting this scholarship at this point?

Depends how high up on the list you are - I know two years ago they had a problem and *nobody* from the reversion list got one.

Don't let that scare you, most years a whole lot of people do end up with one.

Do your department chairs let applicants know how they did, or are you forced to wait for the letter?
