I led a really lovely rhythm  & drumming session today. It was one of those rare sessions where the clients were all really engaged and not overly symptomatic. I drew a circle with the 4 Directions (N, S, E, W) borrowed from the Native American tradition and listed some characteristics for each such as peace, strength, introspection, wisdom, etc. ( Read more... )

I'm so excited- just got my Prius yesterday!  2008 Spectra Blue package 2.
It's so beautiful!!
 I actually hugged my salesperson- she was awesome and had to drive down to Whittier to pick up the Blue one for me. I waited for a week to hear back from the dealer to see if they could even find a package 2 (not bare bones, but not fully loaded) in this ( Read more... )

I am really regretting that I volunteered to work today. Even though it's not my holiday, I'm crabby that I had to get up, come here, and pass out presents to clients.  As if I went back to school to become a therapist so that I could wrap and pass out gifts to 190 clients (OK, I only wrapped about 40 of them, but still ( Read more... )

I'm going to be super self-indulgent tonight, and watch the finale of Tila Tequila. The firefighter is really cute.

I got new kicks this weekend. They're the crossword puzzle Chucks (low top), and I'd wanted them for a while (big  word geek that I am), but can't see paying $40 for Converse. Serendipitously came to find them at TJ Maxx for $20.  Woohoo!

My mini-vacation ends tonight, and I feel quite rested. I really enjoyed my time off. I spent about 7 hours total doing actual work on my mandolin (a few of the steps required waiting 24 hours for the glue to dry before proceeding).  Yesterday I put on the fretboard.
