Yeah it looks like a full Damon plotline. I really like his character (And some of the growth and subsequent regression we've seen with him), but I blame that solely on my undeniable love for Ian haha!
JENNAAAAAAAAAAAAA! She was such a wasted character, and god, her death, I cried so hard. I don't think I've sobbed like this over an episode of television since Abandon All Hope. ;__;
BAMF!Bonnie was MAGNIFICENT. I honestly gasped. Omfg she was incredible *clutches face*
I'm happy/satisfied with John leaving/his ending, too. I never really liked John, but he left on a nice note and I'll be happy that they don't devote any more time to him because zzzzzzzzz
Jenna hurt so bad. I still don't want to talk about it. Argh.
I didn't even know what to do with her, except be in awe. Can you believe how far she's come since she laughed off her Grams' insistence that magic was real?
I'M WRITING FIX-IT COMMENT FIC FOR SKYE. STAY TUNED.
Ngl, I pretty much hated this entire episode. I mean, there were good moments (BONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE *___* YOU ARE BEST IN THE WORLD. And John's death was beautiful), but overall, I hated how pointless everything was in the end. And I HATED Jenna's death. There was really no reason to kill her, not right after she just found out. They've could have done so much more with her, they could have made Alaric train her (did you see the way she wielded that crossbow? That's my girl!) and they could have been an awesome vampire hunting couple. Instead she dies, pointlessly, because Klaus felt the need to go out of the way to turn Jenna into a vampire just to have one to sacrifice, rather than snatch up an already available vampire (aka, Stefan) or not compel Isobel to kill herself and keep her on retainer to sacrifice her instead, if he wanted to sacrifice a woman so bad. I just, I can't even with this ep.
(sorry, I didn't mean to rant on your journal :( I'd make my own post, but I'm technically on hiatus)
There was something a bit lacking this week, wasn't there? I mean, I wasn't biting my nails (I bite when I'm bored, or less relevant here, stressed), but it wasn't as dynamic as last week.
Also, Jenna :/ I FEEL EXACTLY THE SAME WAY AS YOU DO. Don't apologize for ranting - all you're doing is voicing my thoughts. Jenna's death was done for the emotional impact, but it was so safe a choice that it makes it really, really obvious that the show was protecting it's main cast. It felt a bit like the back half of Battlestar's final season. There was no tension, because I knew no one was going to die before the finale. They'd made that too clear in the plotting and it... it's very dissatisfying.
