It's been a rough week. My energy levels have been particularly low (and worse yet, consistently so) and the pain's been higher than normal, although still manageable. All of that conspires to create a pretty demoralising effect! I've spent a lot of time on the phone with my family, especially my mother, and it's been indescribably wonderful to ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear that you're struggling with anxiety and energy levels. I, too, have had similar struggles. Exercise really helps me when I'm feeling especially anxious. I'll often take my dog and run around the block. Well, for me "running" is a lot of walking interspersed with slow running. Anyhow, it seems to help. And energy, too, is a concern. Vitamins have been some help for me. COQ10 is an antioxidant that improves heart functioning, or so I've read. Anyhow, it seems to help me. I can tell a real difference when I don't take it.

LOL, loved the Facebook video. It brings back memories! Although I still remember the very first days of personal computers when you had to run programs off of tape players. How times have changed!

I love Morgana - she's the best part of Merlin, IMHO. I haven't watched since Season 2, though. I got really annoyed with Merlin continually hiding his magic from Arthur. I don't suppose that's ever changed?

My anxiety hasn't been fantastic, but aside from the probable withdrawal from meds relating to them, I don't think that it's the cause of whatever's got me down. Right now, exercise is just walking around; it's all I can handle. (I'm increasingly suspecting an early case of walking pneumonia - my roommate just got over it - but I've yet to go get tested for it.)

The video totally captures the internet in the 1990s. So much amusement.

Merlin is STILL hiding his magic from Arthur. I think that it's fandom's headcanon, at this point, that Arthur knows is just playing dumb. Because really.

So... I know this is pretty much my answer to everything (and in fact, might not actually make you feel any perkier/happier/non-achy), but..... would a sociopaths-are-awesome-Mirror-Verse!SGA podfic series make you feel better? *wheedles* It's got seven parts......

I think that it would definitely, definitely make me smile. Which makes coping with the achiness and tired way easier :)

Sending you love with regards to your anxiety ♥ and there is absolutely nothing wrong with us being Torchwood hipsters. 8D Vera/Jilly is basically my rarewomen fic (that I haven't written yet, oops, BUT I WILL).

My anxiety is actually okay, it's just the meds that are out of control XD

Okay, so I am bridling a bit at the idea of being a hipster, but also I want to know: if our love is unironic, does it still qualify? I DON'T KNOW.

Vera/Jilly is basically my rarewomen fic
So what you're saying is that even though I didn't sign-up, I'm still basically getting Jilly femmeslash, exactly what I wanted?

Ahh, okay.

But if we deny that we're hipsters, does that make us hipsters? Because real hipsters don't label themselves as hipsters. DILEMMAS.

YES, BECAUSE I LOVE YOU AND I LOVE VERA/JILLY :D :D :D
