Justin Trudeau? Hm. I'm not sure how that would go. It would definitely electrify the party, which can be a good thing, but can then backfire, cf Sarah Palin. (Sorry for introducing the elephant into the discussion, but it just seemed the most useful comparison.)

They could do worse than ole Ujjal. To quote my grandmother, he's a nice man. Also a cannier politican than Dion, though.

Also might go over well in B.C. and perhaps the other western provinces, where the Libs need to shore up support.

He wasn't the leader who killed the NDP in BC. He was the leader who took over too late to revive it. As allhatnocattle's run-down makes patently obvious, Harcourt and Clark killed the BCNDP.

I am no Conservative.

Starting attacks already? I started years ago and have never stopped. Never.

Harper couldn't get a majority against Dion. Stephen Harper is not a leader. Not worth the risk.

If Bob Rae was the Leadership candidate I would go against all I have said so far and vote Conservative.

The reason why I like Ignatieff is because he is like me, believes that a strong military and economic sector is important while believing social programs.

i don't know Dossaj, most of his credentials are from B.C and he is a relative unknown here in Ontario

I don't know much about Bob Rae except that Ontarians seem to hate him.

Before someone is a candidate on the national level, they're not known nationally. That's kind of how it works. Given how big the country is, you can't set "people in Ontario know who this person is" as a requirement for a candidate for party leadership.

Interesting. A possibility, for sure.

Lots of Canadians like a good ale.

Interesting choice. Certainly seasoned with experience. That might bring baggage though.
