I apologize in advance because this is probably a very dumb question...but I really can't seem to remember anything about this detail.

So, my stupid-yet-necessary-for-my-fanfic question is...are there bathrooms in the Gryffindor Towers? And what about Slytherin's place in the dungeons? Are there handy bathrooms round there or are ( Read more... )

The books state that that Gryffindor Tower consists of a common room and two dormitories (one for boys and one for girls).

However, I highly suspect that this is handwave territory, and Rowling never intended to detail that each house gets bathrooms, wardrobes, ironing service, etc. etc.

To the best of my recollection, bathroom in the tower aren't mentioned. logically, you'd expect there to be bathrooms in the tower - certainly colleged tend to have I think one per staircase.

Prefects' baths are shared between the houses but the implication was that that's special - otherwise you'd think they'd be given a password to the bathrooms at the same time as password to the common rooms.

I don't the answer, but playing Legos Harry Potter years 1-4, there seems to be quite a few bathrooms!
