Philosophers talk about what is healthy or moral in human behavior. Not exclusively but it is a great deal of what they do. My task is to help those with disadavantages, including poor socialization and brain-chemistry problems, to adhere to social mores enough that they can lead successful lives within their society of choice.
Mentology-- the practice exists in my frame of reference as well. Though treated more medically, with philosophy shunned. I am only a novice; my own expertise is in police and security work. I would like to know more of the way in which you combine the science of mental health with the philosophy that shapes culture-

Learning an individual's personal philosophy, and whether it is influenced by a certain master or a certain society, is key to predicting their responses to certain stimuli. Predicting their responses is key to their treatment, for otherwise the psychologist forges ahead blind. How someone interacts with the outside world, whether his or her relationships are toxically flawed or supportive, is as important a predictor of the path to mental health as any brain damage or brain chemical imbalance.
