It's a little weird that I smoke, but only when I drink. Otherwise NOT AT ALL... It actually makes me sick. And the smell of it on my fingers, breath and clothes really grosses me out. I was seriously relieved when they banned smoking in Seattle bars a few years ago

Heh.. a troll is an internet term for someone who goes on comments/forums and posts a particular type of useless sabotage that involves idiotic comments, racism, pointless personal insults, etc...

It's a real problem on almost any public forum which is why I made the comment about enjoying the semi-private/ semi-obsolete livejournal...

Can you complain to your landlord about them? Smoke coming into your suite may fall under your right to "quiet enjoyment of your suite". I moved to my current building in part because smoking of any kind is banned on the property, including balconies/front lawn.

Maybe I could. It hasn't gotten to that point yet, it's only happened a couple of times all summer.

I'm really starting to dislike my upstairs neighbor though. I hate becoming one of those grumpy neighbors but he just seems fundamentally like a bad neighbor.. just throwing garbage over his balcony, etc..

uh, I was with a bazzillion relatives at the coast for a few weeks, and most of them smoked, and drove back to BH border every few weeks to get more cigarettes. Worst of all was my cousin's pregnant wife who would occasionally light a cigarette too. When I tried to talk her out of it a few times, she'd light a second one out of annoyance, point to her first child and say - "hey look how he turned out fine, I smoked while I was carrying him too, and he weighed almost 4 kilos at birth, he'd weigh 5 if weren't smoking!"

whoops yes! I guess I leave town so rarely these years, that it seemed bad luck to announce it precisely. I was supposed to stay for one week only, and extended to two more when another bunch of relatives canceled their arrival.
