Igor's Warehouse, Wednesday Morning

A single Pi-Rat scampered into Igor's warehouse. It took one look around - taking in the shelves full of jars, some of which glowed and some of which were full of partly grown body parts - and scampered right back out again

Adah was late. It was not the sort of tardiness that one might have expected out of Adah due to her limp, or even due to the fact that she had with her a rather smart rabbit who knew that something was up, something was going on, and was trying to get out of it through squirming and, on a few occasions sinking his teeth into Adah's hand. All Pride was accomplishing with such tactics, however, was making Adah hope that the experiment failed miserably, and earned him threats of starvations, the only suitable punishment for biting the hand that feeds it

Igor came back with a bone and a carrot, freeing Scraps from the cap and giving him the bone, before offering Adah the carrot. "He was very brave for a rabbit."

"Don't let him hear you saying that," Adah said with a faint smile, giving Pride one more little ruffle between the ears before he hopped off of the stool. "He's very aptly named and will take offense to it. Of course, he's also going to be holding this over my head for weeks now, making it quite clear that we couldn't have done it without him, thank you kindly."

"A very well named rabbit," Igor said, watching the rabbit. His glance slid to Scraps. "Neither seem to have taken any harm."

"Physically, no," Adah agreed, with a very serious note in her clinical observation before the grin returned (she couldn't help it, really, not in the light of what had just transpired) as she added, "An ego might have been bruised in the process, though."

[[ my turn to sleep now! g'nite! ]]

"But egos can recover." Scraps barked again and leapt up into the air, landing on his bone. "It helps that Scraps doesn't have one. I left that part out," he confided.

"I didn't exactly have that option," Adah pointed out with a bit of a grin. "I did have my pick of the litter, though, and it's really no surprise that I still liked him better than all his siblings. Pride is only one letter from Price, after all."
