Ran seems to be the type who would be protective of her kids, at least much more so than Yukiko. The Kudous let little Shin-chan get away with far too much. And look what it got him. XD

As far as the Shounen Tantei are concerned, I'll bet their parents are workaholics . . . or just easily distracted. "It's so late! I wonder where Mitsuhiko--ooooooh, SHINY!"

I think a lot of what Shin-chan got away with might have been his father's influence. We see that in the Moon Ghost case, where Yukiko is going to discipline and Yuusaku tells her not to.

Plus, Ran's husband (at the time of this story) ran off and got turned into a child himself. She's probably got overprotective down to an ART FORM as a result of that alone!

*laugh* We don't really see much of the Shounen Tantei parents, so I guess that will remain fanon for now ^_~

♥ ♥ A part of me is saying "I would want my kid to see that? It's natural! It's just a body! He'll get to see how the organs look like" but I'm just being silly. I'd throw a hissy-fit until kingdom come too.

And I agree with ran_mouri82... the parents of the Shounen Tantei don't seem to even know what their kids are doing. In fact, I'm surprised the Shounen Tantei aren't traumatized by it all... yet.

*laugh* Seeing a body is one thing--kids need to be exposed to the concept of death at some point. But having that exposure because of a body that's just gone flying into the concrete from forty stories up? No thank you. Hell, I'm twenty-two and I don't want to see that xP

I wonder if we'll ever get any real canon with the Shounen Tantei's parents...
