Ghost Rider

I saw my ex-boyfriend Mikael today. We ate at our favorite restaurant. They still remebered what we always order when we go there, even though it's been 2 years since we broke up, and we've been there only once after that!

We also saw the movie Ghost Rider. I love movies based on comics, especially the Marvel ones, and Ghost Rider was no exception ( Read more... )

The movie was so good I just had to find out more about it! I also read about the Ghost Rider comics, but didn't write anything about them here. I love doing picture/music entries when I'm inspired by something great. :)

Glad I wasn't the only one out there who enjoyed it. :) Love Johnny Cash' Ghost Riders in the Sky.

I love it too! I don't care that much for the Spiderbait version, I don't like the effect they've done to the singers voice.

AWESOME! Thanks for all the pics and the information!!! I need to go see that movie, the bike alone almost gives me an orgasm. ROFL
I was a bit sceptical when I first saw the ads for "Ghost Rider" and saw the previews, because I really think that Nicholas Cage is the wrong actor for this role. But that's just me. For me he's too... soft. He's not enough Bad Boy. I keep seeing Colin Ferrell in the part. :-)
I knew "Ghostriders in the Sky" from the movie "Blues Brothers" and like it a lot ever since! (Here's the YouTube link if you'd like to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-j_iespL_2U )
I agree, though, that Johnny Cash's version is a lot better than the one from Spiderbait.

I know what you mean about Nicholas Cage. I didn't know anything about who was in this movie when I went to see it, and in the beginning the young Johnny Blaze is played by a different guy. Then they zoom forward several decades, and I was like "what the heck, is Nicholas Cage in this movie?!" I soon got used to him, though. :) The Johnny Blaze played by Nicholas Cage isn't a bad boy at all, he's a more sensitive type, but when he transforms to Ghost Rider, he starts to get a hang of the bad boy thing.

But as I said, the biker/western theme in Ghost Rider was definitely great!

I haven't seen the Blues Brother movies, I really should see them! Thanks for the link, that scene was awesome! Loved the beards. ;)

Oh, you should definitely see both Blues Brothers movies! (Ghost Riders is from Blues Brothers 2000). They are hilarious, the music is great and there are so many awesome musicians in both movies. (e.g. Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, James Brown...)
Whenever I saw a Blues Brothers movie I just want to go out and dance and jump around... Feel-good at its best. :-)

I don't know how I've managed to not see those movies, but then again there are a lot of really famous movies I haven't seen... I'll definitely try to check out the Blues Brothers movies. I think I will appreciate them much more now than I might have when I was younger. I've gotten into blues in the last year, so I think I will definitely enjoy watching all those great musicians. When I was in my teens, I learned about music mostly from MTV, and I was always wondering how some people are so passionate about music when I can't find anything I like. After I switched my focus from MTV to older music, I had an epiphany. :)
