Disclaimer: If you recognize it, regrettably - it's not mine.

Mozzie sat bathing in the moonlight that danced over the rooftop of his newest residence - having replaced the hideout Suit visited. He gazed across the New York skyline, the vastness and serenity lost on him as he thought about the postcard from California between his trembling fingers.

Gina had written every week since she moved and every week, he found himself looking forward to her words... her companionship. After all, he'd convinced himself theirs was a blossoming friendship and nothing more.

But something in this latest postcard made him question his conviction. Every card started with a quote just as their every conversation had. He didn't need to read the quote again to remember the words. Love knows not distance; it hath no continent; its eyes are for the stars. Gilbert Parker, Parables of a Province. He knew that one well.

Looking to the stars, barely visible above the lights of the city, his conspiracy theory heart made way for romance. He let himself believe she was thinking about him and somewhere she saw what he was seeing. And in that moment, there was no continent between them. They were together again, sitting across from each other at the diner.
