Notes/Warnings: I had a helluva time coming up with a summary that didn't give spoilers for the episode. Read the Author's Comments for additional information if you're interested. I'm hoping to make a drabble come back. I only wrote 12 last year after writing 65 the year before. *sad face* This might not the best, but I'm glad I wrote it. Nikki was there when he stepped from the prison gates, breathing the air of a free man for the first time in three days. She watched him stretch as the sun kissed his face, thankful that the outdoors and not a 3x5 cell was where he truly belonged.
When he turned to her, she smiled and leaned back against her car. "What do you feel like doing now that you're a free man?"
"I feel like eating a steak," he answered without hesitation or even an eyebrow raise. "Care to join me?" and now he was grinning.
"That depends," she started, eyebrow raised for him. "Am I going to have to wait for you to hunt it or are we going somewhere to get it?"
"I was thinking my place," he replied, moving until he was leaning next to her against the car.
"Your place?"
"It will be the best piece of meat you've ever had," he smirked.
"We are still talking about the steak, right?"
"Mostly," he shrugged, signature look of passionate distraction in place, asking without words if she was still interested in the offer.
"Get in the car," she nodded, nearly racing him around to the door.
