There was this chick at knitting tonight who just moved here from Poughkeepsie and she reminded me a lot of you! She just arrived a month ago, moved to be with her cdn boyfriend, waiting for her papers to come through, and trying to find new friends by joining different meetups. I asked her if she liked board games and she said she loved them so I suggested the board game meetup! Hopefully we'll all see each other there in the future! I think she said her name was Sarah.
BTW I asked her what she thought of the milk bags and she's still undecided. She is under the impression it makes the milk go stale. I asked you the same question when I first met you. ;) Anyway sorry to ramble.

That's awesome!! Maybe I'll get to meet her some time. It's cool that she likes some of the same things! :)
Hahahaha, I totally laughed out loud at the milk bag thing. It totally keeps the milk fresher longer! My sister was very confused by them when she was here. I'm so used to them now! Definitely doesn't faze me anymore. :)

It sounds like you had fun! I've seen those threading places at the mall but really don't know how they differ from waxing. I thought it was something you didn't have to do as often as waxing.
I can't picture the hooded t-shirts but they sound so cute. New clothes are always ♥. *nod*
Keep up the working out! :)

The threading is, from what I've heard (I've never had my eyebrows waxed), less painful than waxing. The process is kind of fascinating. They basically twist two threads together against your eyebrow and it pulls out the hairs. So you get that instant moment of pain like if you were plucking the hairs, but it doesn't last very long and isn't really that bad. I have no idea about how long it lasts versus waxing, sorry. :p
They are basically like short sleeve, t-shirt material hoodies. They've got the little front pocket you can put your hands in, and they've got a hood, but they're t-shirts. I will have to figure out if I can layer them over something to wear them soon, or if I'll just have to wait for warm weather.
Thanks, I'm going to try! I think it'll be easier once I get into a routine; getting that going is probably the hardest part.

Very interesting. I'd like to have it seen done to someone else before committing, heh. Everyone who has had it done says such good things.
They sound really cute and like nothing I've seen here, darn! I hope you figure out a way to wear them sooner rather than late.r :)
It really is. Once you've got something going it's so much easier to keep it going. :)

Other things to look forward to in the summer:
Gay Pride Parade - Colourful and fun
Summerlicious - YUM!
Taste Of The Danforth - More YUM
Cheap Blue Jays tickets - =)
I've done the threading and would do it all the time if there was a place close by, but alas I must tweeze them myself =( I prefer threading over any other method for sure.

Yeah, wax kind of scares me, and I don't really want to try that, so I think I'm likely to stick with the threading if I decide to make this a regular thing.

1. how much does threading cost in canada? i've done it a few times in the philippines because EVERYTHING is ridiculously cheap there. i think it feels so weird! kind of like a razor blade on your eyebrows, but not...
2. aw, i really enjoyed blue valentine! sure, it was really sad, but super well done and really thought provoking. actually, i think the most depressing part of the movie was that line that ryan gosling says about how guys get married when they think "i can't lose this girl" but girls get married when they think "well, i guess this is good enough." i'm surprised at your reaction a little, because you LOOVE the last kiss, which also is a pretty depressing movie...

Hmm. It was well done, but I just felt like it painted such a bleak picture of their relationship, like it was so hopeless by the end. At least with The Last Kiss, there's hope at the end, when she opens the door to let him back in, you have hope that they're going to be able to work things out. But with Blue Valentine . . . I don't know. It also kind of bugged me because it seemed like it was always her pushing him away and that he wanted to try and make things better but she didn't want to, and I didn't really get why. :-/

Also . . . milk bags still creep me out, almost three years in.

Lol, do they really? I think I've pretty much gotten used to them. The only thing that bugs me is when they don't go into the pitchers properly and you have too much bag hanging out of the top when you go to pour it. :p
