and i'm always landing on my feet

Well, I survived the crazy week. Buuuuut now I'm sick. :( Started feeling really tired by around 10:30 last night at the board game group, but just figured that was because I'd been up since 6:30 and had been running around all day (and all week). Noticed a bit of a sore throat starting on the subway back home, and it hurt to talk when I came ( Read more... )

Hahah, yesss! Everyone I know is pretty excited about Target coming here as well! Personally, every time I've been in a Target, I've never really bought anything clothes or shoes-wise. I really wish they would bring JC Penney here (I'm such an old lady!).

Their clothes can be hit or miss, although I have been able to buy decent, cheap bras there. And I always got my purses there. I didn't realize JC Penney was not in Canada! But I don't think I shopped there too often, anyway.

Oh, no, I'm sorry you're sick! I hope resting up helped some and that whatever it is is in and out by the time the weekend is over.

A haunted house game?! Interersting. What was it called? And YAY for getting some furniture. I can't wait to see pictures. :)

I already shared the link with someone I know in Canada. Target beats Wal-Mart anyday. :)

Thanks. I do feel marginally better than I did this morning . . . the achiness (haha, spell check doesn't think that's a word) is pretty much gone, although that could be due to the advil I took earlier. I also hope that its gone by Monday, because I can't really take sick days. :-/

Um, I think it was Betrayal at House on the Hill? Yes, google has confirmed this, haha. It was pretty cool; I wish I hadn't been so tired by the time we played it, because I probably would have enjoyed it more.

Oh my god, there isn't even a comparison between Target and Wal-Mart! Target is worlds better. I pretty much never went to Wal-Mart when I had access to a Target, and now that I don't have Target and have to go to Wal-Mart sometimes, I hate it every time I go. Cannot WAIT till the first Target opens here. My friend Becca (also American) and I are seriously going to have a party or something, haha.

Hopefully today you're feeling even better! I hope you've gotten a chance to just sleep; I hear that's really some of the best medicine!

Oooh looks interesting! I wish I had people who had varied games like this. Not what you typically see! -_-

I feel the same way. I hate going to Wal-Mart. I feel anxious to leave. I don't know what it is about it, either. It just seems like such a depressing place, but I'm not sure why! Target for life. :D

Kind of better. I'm functionally sick, haha. Usually the first day I'm sick, I am absolutely useless - no energy, only good for laying around doing nothing. After that, I may still be sick, but I'm usually at least able to go and do things that I need to. I pretty much just laid on the couch yesterday, and did take a nap at one point, but that's as close as I've gotten to just sleeping, unfortunately. Annnd tomorrow's back to work. Definitely going to bed early again tonight.

Yeah, I'd never seen that game before, but there's a whole ton of games I have never heard of. There's this awesome board game cafe here in Toronto that literally has a whole wall, floor to ceiling, of board games. There are SO many!

Yeah, it really is terrible at Wal-Mart. It kind of makes me hate humanity when I go in there. Wooo Target!

I hope you feel better soon! Rest up this weekend, hope that babysitting wasn't too difficult.

The group sounds like a lot of fun. I keep meaning to go to some of those out here.

Hope the weekend is relaxing and the weeks isn't too stressful. :)

Thanks. I rested a lot yesterday, and babysitting was easy. I've got some stuff that has to get done this weekend so I'm going to try to do that today, but if nothing else, I will definitely go to bed early tonight.

Yeah, it was fun. I'm looking forward to going again and being able to try more games and meet more people. :) You should definitely find one near you to go to if you're interested!

Thanks, me too!

Eh. As I mentioned in another comment, I'm functionally sick now. Meaning I'm still sick, but I'm at least able to do most things I need to. Just . . . not with as much energy as I might normally.

Oh god, no, it's been my one major heartbreak since moving up here. :( Sad and tragic. Which is why I will be so extremely happy when they finally open up here.
