Prorogue

So, I'm sure by now everyone has heard about the NDP/Liberal Coalition with the Bloc's support. Something that keeps being brought up though is that Harper might prorogue parliament to prevent the coalition from taking over. basically...harper's a whiner and a hypocrite and he's taking his ball and going home. he'll return with a re-vamped budget come januarary when things have quieted down a bit

It'll be interesting to see how Harper can justify just shutting parliament down for the next 2 months.

especially with the world-wide financial crises happening...not a good time to shut down parliment

Prorogation is an option afforded to the Prime Minister which requires the consent of the Governor General. More often than not, the Governor General gives her blessing ( ... )
